This year's lecture features one of the preeminent authorities on nineteenth-century European music, Duke University's Mendelssohn Scholar of Music R. Larry Todd. Todd will discuss the question of romanticism in a presentation that will include excerpts from, "FAE Violin Sonata" of Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, and Albert Dietrich. Todd will be joined in the performance by violinist Hsiao-Mei Ku, professor of the Practice at Duke.

Free and open to the public. Reception to follow.
